Duties:
- Maintain and extend the network infrastructure at all nodes
- Manage and maintain data center facilities at LLNW's headquarters
- Manage and maintain documentation associated with data center space and network facilities
- Organize and supervise the deployment of new content servers and their associated support equipment (includes project management related activities)
- Coordinate and/or conduct maintenance activities at various levels both internally and with outside vendors
- Provide technical support to the network operations group
- Work with vendors and customers to ensure service levels are maintained.
- Bring new transit and colocation customers online
- Supervise other members of my department engaged in similar activities
- Orient new hires and provide training as necessary

Duties:
- Mail Processing and Data Entry for Patient Assistance Programs Responsible for reviewing received applications and entering the requisite information into the database to authorize distribution of medications.

Network Engineer with Global Crossing
Duties:
- General maintenance of Global Crossing's routers and network connections including maintenance of GlobalCenter's internal routing and BGP routing tables and peering sessions,
- Determining and implementing routing policy for both the backbone network and access servers
- Assist in determining and implementing network security policies
- Provide technical support to the Network Operations Center in diagnosing and correcting complex network and system problems
- Commissioning new systems and routers and coordinating the deployment of those systems
- Working with vendors to learn and implement new technologies and effect upgrades to existing equipment
February, 1995 to April, 1997
Senior Network Operations Technician (Network Technician III) with Global Crossing (formerly Frontier Global Center)
Duties:
- General maintenance of all systems including adjusting configurations to accommodate the current load
- Installing patches to the operating system and related software; configure and bring online new systems and preparing them for use
- Monitoring network links and coordinating repair when circuits fail
- Bringing new circuits on line
- Coordinating with network engineering and research and development to deploy and maintain new products
- Maintaining dialup phone lines and the modems and the terminal servers they are attached to include physical maintenance of phone lines and data circuits as required
